“Architecture is the art and science of making sure that our cities and buildings fit with the way we want to live our lives,” says Bjarke Ingels, the architect behind Grove at Grand Bay. In designing the towers, he and his team studied the setting in depth—not only the 3-acre site, but Coconut Grove and the typology of Miami condominiums. Inspiration came from Coconut Grove’s unique elements—its tropical landscape, water views, sense of community, and rich cultural history. The goal? Pay homage to the place by maximizing the indoor-outdoor connection. Elements such as the generous terraces that allow for stunning panoramic views and lush landscape design by Raymond Jungles Inc. create a symbiosis of building and landscape.
“You have to stand up for some things in this world.” Inspiration courtesy of former Grove resident Marjorie Stoneman Douglas. We stand for sustainability and re-greening the center of the Grove.
